Marbling Workshop

We invite you to a hands-on introduction to the traditional craft of paper marbling, held in an intimate, well-appointed studio environment.

You’ll begin with an introduction to colour, tools, and traditional techniques before preparing your own marbling bath. Then, you’ll float pigments on the surface, coaxing them into swirls, flowers, and patterns using templates before transferring them to paper for one-of-a-kind prints.

The session begins with a brief overview of materials, tools, and historical context, followed by a guided demonstration of pigment preparation and surface manipulation techniques. Attendees will then produce their own marbled sheets.
