Embroidery Upcycling Workshop

With Lizzie’s Embroidery Club

Upcycle your wardrobe.

Design, Transfer, and Stitch.

Do you have a denim jacket that needs a glow-up?

A plain shirt that’s lacking "you"?

Or a favorite pair of jeans that needs a revamp?

Moving your embroidery from the hoop to your clothes is the ultimate way to create a bespoke wardrobe, but it can be intimidating to take that first stitch.

This workshop is designed to give you the confidence, tools, and technical skills to transform your garments into wearable art.

The "Design & Start" Experience:

This 2.5-hour session is focused on the most important part of the process: the setup. We won’t be rushing to finish a whole piece; instead, we’ll focus on perfect placement and technique. You will leave with your design professionally transferred onto your garment and your embroidery well underway, equipped with the skills to finish it at your own pace.

What we will cover:

How to choose the right spot for your embroidery.

Using water-soluble stabilizers to make stitching on clothing (even denim!) a breeze.

How to use heat-erase pens and learning suitable embroidery stitches.

Mastering the specific stitches that look best - and last longest - on fabric.

What’s included:

Use of threads, needles, and scissors during the session.

Stick n Stitch stabilizer and heat-erase pens for your design.

Expert 1-to-1 guidance from Lizzie on your specific project.

What to bring:

Please bring one garment you’d like to work on! I recommend non-stretch fabrics like denim, heavy cotton, or linen (think jackets, jeans, tote bags, or button-down shirts) for the best results.

Avoid t-shirts that are stretchy or silky.
